তুমি চিরযৌবনবতী, তুমি অপরূপা চিরসুন্দরী – তুমি চিরউত্তাল সমুদ্র ঢেউ, তুমি চিরনবীন ভালোবাসাময়। তুমি চিরসবুজ উদার আকাশ মন,তুমি চিরভালোবাসা ধন, চিরকালের নিত্য সহচর, অরূপ মাণিক রতন। তুমি বুকের ভিতরে চিরবহমান, নতুন কথার ছন্দে-সুরে চিরকালের গান, তুমি চিরস্বপ্ন – চোখের পাতায় নিত্য বৃষ্টিস্নান। তুমি চিররূপকথার গল্প, চিরকুসুমের ঘ্রাণ, তুমি চিরপ্রেমগাথা, চিরআলোকিত প্রাণ। চোখ বুজলেই তোমায় দেখি- মনের ভিতরে বেজে ওঠে গান, একের পর এক রচিত হয় কবিতার বর্ণমালা, হৃদয়ের আঙিনাতে খুশির জোয়ার বয়। চোখ বুজলেই তোমাকে ঘিরে স্মৃতির পাহাড় জমে বুকে, সে সব কত না মধুর স্মৃতি, প্রাণের ছবি হয়ে ফুটে ওঠে সন্ধ্যাতারার মতো; তোমার শরীরের মিষ্টি গন্ধ পাই। চোখ বুজলেই অন্তরে জেগে ওঠে হাজার স্বপ্নরাশি; সে স্বপ্নের দেশে ভাসে কেবলই তোমারই রাঙা মুখের হাসি। আমি স্পষ্টতই অনুভব করি তুমি এসে আমায় ছুঁয়ে ছুঁয়ে যাচ্ছ, বাতাসে উড়ছে তোমার এলোচুল, শাড়ির আঁচল, ফুলপরী হয়ে আমার বাগানে তুমি খেলা করছো- আর সব ফুলেরা তোমাকে অভিবাদন জানাচ্ছে; অপূর্ব দীপ্তিতে ভরে যাচ্ছে আমার সারা ভুবন।
তুমি কাছে এলে আমার ভালোবাসাকে দু’চোখ মেলে দেখতে থাকতে থাকি- সে হাসে, সে কথা বলে, রাঙা দুটি মিষ্টি ঠোঁট দিয়ে আমার ঠোঁট স্পর্শ করে- আমি তার কোলে মাথা রাখি, তার বুকের গন্ধ নিই- আমার সারা ভুবনকে অনির্বচনীয় আনন্দে আনন্দময় করে, মুখরিত করে। তোমার ভালোবাসার রঙে আমি রেঙে উঠি, আমার হৃদয় চঞ্চল হয় তোমার কোমল স্পর্শে, আমি খুঁজে পাই শান্তির নীল দিগন্ত। তুমি কাছ এলেই মন আমার মাতাল হয়ে যায়, বুকের মধ্যে ছুটে আসে অফুরন্ত খুশির জোয়ার, সেই জোয়ারে আমি কখন যে ভেসে যাই নিজেই জানি না। আমি তোমার চোখে-মুখে-প্রাণে প্রেম ছাড়া আর কিছু খুঁজে পাই না। আলোময় তুমি-আলোকছটায় আমাকে রাঙিয়ে যাও – আমার অন্তরে রামধনু রঙ হয়ে হাসো, পারিজাত ফুল হয়ে বুকের গভীরে সুগন্ধ ঢেলে যাও।এতটাই তুমি নিবিড় হয়ে থাকো আমার কাছে – তোমাকে আমার থেকে আলাদা মনে হয় না কখনো–একাত্ম হয়ে মিশে আছো যেন আমার সারা দেহ-মনে। সবদিনই তুমি আমার কাছে প্রিয় জন ছিলে – এখন যেন আরো অনেক বেশি কাছের জন বলে মনে হয় তোমাকে। তোমার হৃদয়ের সুবাস আমার চিত্তকে মাতাল করে তুলে, অদ্ভুত মাদকতায় ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে যায় –তোমাকে পেয়ে ভুলে যাই আমার যা কিছু মন্দ প্রলাপ, আমি হয়ে পড়ি ছন্দহীন-সুরহীন-বেহিসেবী-ছন্নমতি একজন।
সেই ছুটে এলাম - চকিত দেখা ছাড়া আর কিছু হল না, ইচ্ছে ছিল একটুখানি পরশ তোমার পাব-হল না, সুযোগ মিলল না-বিফল মনোরথ হয়ে ফিরে আসতে হল। আমি যখন এলাম তখন তুমি তোমার গন্তব্যপথে রওনা দিয়েছ। তুমি অবশ্য জানতে আমি কেন এসেছিসব জেনেও তোমাকে নীরব থাকতেহল, আমার মনের গভীরে জমা হল একটুখানি কষ্ট। তা হোক তবু তো দেখা হল তোমার সাথে, মুখে না হোক মনে মনে তো কত কথা সারা হল – যা আমি জানতাম, তুমিও জানতে-সেটাই কম কী বলো? ভালোবাসার আকাশে ডানা মেলে দিয়েছি তোমার হৃদয় ছোঁব বলে, তোমার রাঙা দুটি ঠোঁটের রেণু মাখব বলে। ভালোবাসার আকাশে ডানা মেলেছি তোমার বুকের মোহময় উপত্যকায় নিভৃতে খেলা করবো বলে, তোমার নীল শাড়ির আঁচলে মুখ ঢাকব বলে। ভালোবাসার আকাশে ডানা মেলেছি তোমার শরীর নদীর জলে ডুব-সাঁতার কাটবো বলে, মহানন্দে নিজেকে সিক্ত করবো বলে। ভালোবাসার আকাশে ডানা মেলেছি তোমার চোখের তারায় স্বপ্ন আঁকব বলে, তোমাকে নিয়ে খুশির জোয়ারে নাও ভাসাব বলে।
কাছে ডেকেও নিজেকে আবার আড়াল করে নিলে, দেখতে দিলে না আমার স্বপ্নে দেখা সেই মিষ্টি সরোবরটাকে, অবগাহন করা তো দূরের কথা, ছুঁতে পর্যন্ত দিল না। কত দিনের ইচ্ছে তোমার ওই অলৌকিক সরোবরটাকে একটিবার অন্তত চোখের দেখা দেখি, মুক্তোর মতো স্বচ্ছ ওর টলটলে জলে শুধু একটিবার স্পর্শ করি আমার তৃষ্ণার্ত ঠোঁট, বক্ষের অন্তহীন ক্ষুধা মিটিয়ে নিই, হৃদয়ের পিপাসা নিবৃত্ত করি। কিন্তু তুমিই তা হতে দিলে না, কাছে টেনে নিয়ে অনেক কিছু দিলে আমায় – শুধু যা দিলে না তোমার রহস্যনন্দিত সরোবরে একটিবার অন্তত ডুব সাঁতার দিতে। আমার হাহাকারে ভরা বুক হাহাকারেই দীর্ণ রাখলে। তোমার সঙ্গে দেখা হল অথচ দুষ্টুমি করার অবকাশ পেলাম না – তখন মনে হয় তোমার সঙ্গে বুঝি দেখাই হল না, তেমন করে বুঝি তোমাকে পাওয়াই হল না। মনটা মুহূর্তে খারাপ হয়ে যায়, হৃদয়ের ছটপটানি বাড়ে, বারবার তোমাকে কাছে পাওয়ার জন্য আকুলিবিকুলি করতে থাকে অন্তর। তুমি আসবে কাছে, সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকবে অথচ তোমার স্পর্শটুকু পাব না, একটুখানি খুনসুটি করতে পারব না-এটা যেন আমার ভাবনার বাইরে-তাই তোমাকে দেখা-মাত্রই তোমার বুকে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়তে সাধ জাগে, নদীর ঢেউয়ের মতো আছড়ে পড়তে ইচ্ছে করে তোমার সারা অঙ্গের উপর-কেননা আমার মন যে বলে তুমিও এটাই চাও।
