তুমি এলে – অথচ পরশখানি দিলে না, যেমন এলে নীরবে – তেমনি গেলেও চলে নীরবে। আমি যে তোমার জন্য ব্যাকুল ছিলামতার খোঁজ তুমি নিলে না। তোমার এই দূরে থাকার খেলা আমার ভালো লাগে না, আমার হৃদয় বেদনায় ম্লান হয় তুমি সরে দাঁড়ালে। তোমার বিরস বদনখানি বুকে তোলে ব্যথার ধ্বনি, তুমি না হাসলে আমারও হাসি আসে না, স্বপ্নের ফুলগুলি খালি শুকিয়ে যায় তুমি ভালোবেসে হাত না বাড়ালে। তোমার জীবন যেন আমারই জীবন, তোমার মরণ যেন আমারই মরণ-আকাশ আমার আঁধারে লুকায় তুমি না ভালোবাসলে। এলে যখন কেন দিয়ে গেলে না সব কিছু, আরো অনেক তো পাওয়ার ছিল তোমার কাছে- দিতে এসেও ফিরিয়ে নিলে তোমার সেই সম্পদ; আমার কাঙাল হৃদয় সেই কাঙালই থেকে গেল। তুমি জানতে আমি কি চাই নিভৃতে এলেও তা দিতে, কিছুটা দিলে বাকিটা বুকের মধ্যে ঢেকে নিয়ে ফিরে গেলে। দাও, অনেক কিছুই দাও তুমি তবে সম্পূর্ণ করে দাও না কখনো, যা দাও তাতে আমার অন্তর কখনো ভরাট হয় না, তাইতো আবার ইচ্ছে করে কবে কখন পাব তোমায়, যতক্ষণ কাছে থাকো বুঝি সব আছে – তুমি চলে গেলেই বুকের মধ্যে বিলাপ বাড়তে থাকে। আমি আজও জানিনা-তোমার মধ্যে এমন কি আছে যার জন্য আমি সততই ব্যাকুল।
তুমি এলে - যেন একটা প্রজাপতি আচমকা উড়ে এসে বসল, রঙ বাহারি পাখনা মেলা-আমার ভালোবাসার বাগানকে ভালোবাসার আলোয় আলোকিত করে গেল। দীর্ঘক্ষণ চলল তোমার এই ওড়াওড়ি-নাচানচি খেলা- অপার বিস্ময়ে দেখছিলাম তাআর হারিয়ে যাচ্ছিলাম এক অত্যাশ্চর্য ভালোলাগার জগতে। কী সুন্দরই না দেখাচ্ছিল তোমাকে- মনে হল এই যে অপরূপা করে তোমাকে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে সে বুঝি আমার জন্যই। তোমাকে দেখে আমার চোখ জুড়িয়ে গেল, মন ভরে গেল- এমন ভালোবাসার প্রজাপতি হয়ে আবার আসবে কবে আমার হৃদয় বাগিচায়?
তুমি এলোমেলো বলেই তোমার উপর আমার এত প্রাণের টান, অন্তহীন ভালোবাসার রস বয়ে যায় আমার অন্তরজুড়ে। তেমন সাজগোজ, পরিপাটি করে আমার সামনে তুমি দাঁড়ালে হয়তো সেই দুরন্ত আবেগ নিয়ে তোমার’পরে আছড়ে পড়তাম না-তুমি খোলা-মেলা সহজ-সরল থাকো বলেই বুঝি এতখানি হয়ে উঠেছো হৃদয়ের আপনজন। তুমি এলোমেলো বলেই তোমার মুখের হাসি এত সুন্দর, চোখের চাওয়া এত মোহময়, তোমার খোঁপাভাঙা চুল, ভাঁজহীন শাড়ির আঁচল, বুকের উপত্যকা এত রহস্যময়, তোমার ভালোবাসা এত প্রাণবন্ত।
তোমার নিপাট শাড়ির ভাঁজ একটুখানি এলোমেলো যদি হয়েই যায় – যাক না, তোমার খোঁপাবাঁধা চুল একটুখানি বিস্রস্ত যদি হয়েই পড়ে – হোক না। ভাববে দুষ্টু বাতাস এসে তোমার সাথে খেলা করে গেছে, তার অন্তরঙ্গ সখ্যতা তোমাকে বেসামাল করেছে। তুমি এলোমেলো থাকলে তোমাকে আরও সুন্দর লাগে, তোমার সৌন্দর্য আরও মাধুর্য নিয়ে প্রতিভাত হয়। তোমার অনুপম রূপলাবণ্য সাগরের ঢেউ হয়ে ছুঁয়ে যাক, আমার হৃদয়-মন রেঙে উঠুক তোমাতে সাঁতার কাটতে কাটতে। একটুখানি এলোমেলো না হয় হলেই।
