যাকে ভালোবাসি-আমি মনে করি তার সবকিছুই সুন্দর, তার কোনোকিছুই খারাপ হতে পারে না, অযথা দোষ ধরে তাকে বিব্রত করাও ঠিক না। যাকে ভালোবাসি সে সবসময় ফুলের মতোই পবিত্র, মেঘমুক্ত আকাশের মতোই স্বচ্ছ, নির্মল, রমণীয়-মলিনতা তাকে গ্রাস করতে পারে না। যাকে ভালোবাসি-সে তো স্বর্গের পারিজাত ফুল, তার বুকের ভিতরে সুগন্ধ ছাড়া আর কিছু থাকতে পারে না। যাকে ভালোবাসি সে তো প্রাণেরঐশ্বর্য, অন্তরের সম্পদ-তাকে সর্বক্ষণ হৃদয়ের মণিকোঠায় ধরে রাখা যায়, দূরে ঠেলে ফেলা যায় না।
জানো, মাঝে মাঝে অমর ভয় হয় যেদিন থাকবে না – সেদিন কে ভুবন ভোলানো হাসি নিয়ে আমার সামনে এসে দাঁড়াবে? কে শোনাবে সেদিন হৃদয়ের গান? প্রেমের সুরভিতে ভরে দেবে আমার আকুল করা অন্তর? যেদিন থাকবে না – কে আমায় ডাগর ডাগর দু’টি নয়ন মেলে অপলক দেখবে? আমার চোখের দু’টি তারায় কে বিছিয়ে দেবে রহস্যের জাল? কে বলবে হেসে – আমি তোমার, শুধু তোমারই। যেদিন থাকবে না – কে আমার জানলার ধারে দাঁড়িয়ে খোঁপার চুল এলো করবে, ওড়াবে তার মায়াবী শাড়ির আঁচল? মনের কন্দরে কে ফোটাবে ভালোবাসার ফুল? আমার হাতে হাত রেখে কে বলবে – আমি তোমায় ভালবাসি, শুধু তোমাকেই ভালোবাসি।
কাল সারারাত্তির জেগে কাটালাম-তুমি ঘুমোতে দিলে না, এমনভাবে জ্বালিয়ে মারলে ঘুম আর এল না চোখে। যখন তখন তুমি এভাবেই চলে আসো ঘুমের রাত্তিরে-চোখের থেকে ঘুম নাও কেড়ে। যেই চোখের পাতা এক করতে চাইলাম তুমি চলে এলে মনের ঘরে, স্বপ্নের চাদর বিছিয়ে আমাকে আষ্টেপৃষ্ঠে বেঁধে নিলে, সে বাঁধন আর আলগা করলে না-আমি তোমাতে সম্পূর্ণভাবে আটকে রইলাম, আমার ভাবনার আকাশে চাঁদের মতো উদিত হলে, স্নিগ্ধ আলোক ছড়িয়ে আমাকে মাতাল করে দিলে। তুমি আমার হৃদয় সরোবরে ফুটে ওঠা আশ্চর্য এক গোলাপী পদ্ম যে আমাকে কেবলই রাঙিয়ে যাও, ঘুম না পাড়িয়ে আমাকে সারারাত্তির জাগিয়ে রাখো, অনেক ভালোবাসা দিয়ে আমাকে সুরভিত করো-আমিও সব ভুলে জেগে থাকি তোমার জন্য।
খুঁজলেই তোমায় পাবো না – একথা আমার মন জানে তবুও এত অবুঝ আমার মন যে তোমাকেই খুঁজে ফেরে, চাতক পাখির মতো বসে থাকে তোমার একটুখানি উষ্ণ পরশ পাবার জন্য। আসলে তোমার ভালোবাসা মনটাকে এমন কাঙাল করে রেখেছে-কাঙালপনা আর শেষ হতেই চায় না, ক্রমশ তা বেড়েই চলে। ফুল ফুটলে ভ্রমরের দল যেমন অস্থির হয়, নদী যেমন চঞ্চল হয় সাগর মোহনায় পৌঁছানোর জন্য, মেঘ জমলে বলাকার ঝাঁক যেমন ঘুরপাক খেতে থাকে আকাশ জুড়ে-তেমনিভাবে তোমাকে কাছে পেতে চায় আমার অশান্ত হৃদয়। তোমার মধ্যে এমন কিছু আছে যার সন্ধান পেয়েছে আমার বুভুক্ষু অন্তর – তাইতো তোমাকে পেতে এত উতলা-আকুল সে। তুমি সামনে বসেছিলে-রঙে রঙে রঙময়, বর্ণে বর্ণে বর্ণময় যেন আস্ত একটা গোধূলি আকাশ আমার চোখের তারায় প্রতিভাত হচ্ছিল। কী অপরূপ শোভা তার! কী আশ্চর্য লাবণ্য! কী দৃষ্টিনন্দন! আমার মুগ্ধ হয়ে দেখা ছাড়া কিছুই আর করার ছিল না। এই তোমাকে দেখতে দেখতে মন আমার হারিয়ে যাচ্ছিল কোনো এক সুদূর কল্পলোকে, ইচ্ছে হচ্ছিল তোমার ওই রাঙা মেঘের বুকের তলা দিয়ে শ্বেতবলাকা হয়ে উড়ে যাই, তোমার ভালোবাসার চন্দন সারা অঙ্গে মেখে নিই-কানে কানে বলি-তুমি আমাকে কাছে টেনে নাও-আমি যে তোমারই।
আবেশ মধুর সন্ধেবেলা-আকাশে তারার মিটিমিটি চাওয়া, গাছে গাছে রাত-জোনাকির নাচন - এই ক্ষণে তুমি আমার মনের ঘরে নিভৃতে প্রবেশ করেছো, তোমার প্রেমের গন্ধ পাচ্ছি-আমার স্বপ্নচোখে কত না রঙিন ছবির আঁকিবুকি। তুমি আমার মনের ঘরে আসা মানে ভালোবাসার জোয়ারে ভেসে যাওয়া, মাদকতায় হৃদয় উদ্বেল হওয়া, ভালোলাগার তীব্র অনুভূতিতে নিজেকে সমর্পণ করা। তুমি আসা মানে আচমকাই আমার সবকিছু পাল্টে যাওয়া, তোমাকে ছাড়া আর সব ভাবনা মুছে যাওয়া – আমার জীবনজুড়ে তুমি এতটাই আছো যেন এক ভরা নদী।
আমার স্বপ্নভরা বুকে তুমি আলোকিত প্রাণ, ফুলের সুরভিত ঘ্রাণ, অনেক প্রীতি অনেক মায়ায় ঘেরা হৃদয়ের মধুর তান। তুমি প্রেমের নতুন দিশা, ভালোবাসার সমুদ্দুর, স্বপ্নলোকের থেকে আসা ভালোবাসার নীল পরী। তোমার অলৌকিক ডানা ছুঁয়ে ভেসে বেড়ায় সাতরঙা মেঘ-যে মেঘের শীতল পরশে আমার দু’চোখে প্রশান্তি নামে, মনের গভীরে আশার বীজ সঞ্চারিত হয়, আমি শুনতে পাই ভালো থাকার সুমধুর কলধ্বনি। তোমার সূর্য আলোর দীপ্তি আমাকে প্রত্যয়ী করে, আমার চেতনায় নিয়ে আসে আঁধার ছেঁড়া গান, অনবদ্য প্রীতিসুধায় ভরে যায় আমার অন্তরলোক। আমি তোমার জন্য মরতে মরতেও বেঁচে উঠি, জেগে উঠি–তুমি আমার জীবনতরী।
