Your Enchantment Calls Me
Kamalika Bhattacharya
I’ve never wished to escape your enchantment,
For it weaves my heart into a tapestry of dreams.
The sails of your words guide my soul,
As if I’m a boat meant to drift on your waves.
When you glance, my world turns golden,
When you smile, the air blooms with melodies.
Your voice carries the hush of distant seas,
And I follow its song, lost yet complete.
You strike chords in me I never knew existed,
Each echo pulls me deeper into your magic.
If you became a puppet held by strings,
I would be the unseen hand, holding your fate gently.
For your spell is not a burden but a gift,
And I would lose myself again and again,
To feel the rhythm of your presence
A love that makes me whole.

The Silence Within
If I don’t say it today,
Those words that were never spoken,
Still, my trembling lips betray
And the lotus of my eyes speaks unbroken.
Blushing cheeks whisper silent tales,
Yet time’s idle tune never unveils
The rhythm of words left unsaid,
Lying still, where lazy afternoons tread.
Unspoken thoughts play shadow games
In pools of light, their ripples the same.
That silent playground of words untold,
Keeps secrets hidden in its fold.
There were letters exchanged,
Sweet laments, emotions arranged,
Verses written, poems adorned,
Yet the unspoken words remain unborn.
Those words that float in the heart’s abyss,
Laughing softly in desires amiss.
Even today, I guard them still,
In this house of endless hide-and-seek,
Where shadows linger in the evening light,
And the unspoken words remain out of sight.
So, when the games are done, return,
To the quiet courtyard of our souls.
The silence that binds us, unbroken still,
Will hold those words, and always will.
I’ll speak them no more,
Their home is my heart, locked at its core.
I’ve lost this game of hearts, my dear,
Come back to me now, just stay near.
