মঙ্গলপ্রসাদ মাইতি

আলোর জন্য মানুষ স্বপ্ন দেখে তুমি যদি সেই আলো হও-তবে তোমাকে নিয়ে আমি স্বপ্ন দেখতেই পারি। মানুষ ফুলের সুরভিমেশা গন্ধে আকুল হয়, একটুখানি গন্ধ পাবার জন্য লালায়িত হয়-তুমি যদি সেই সুগন্ধি ফুল হও-তবে তোমার জন্য আমি লালায়িত হতেই পারি। মানুষ নদীর রূপ দেখে মুগ্ধ হয়, তার স্নিগ্ধ-শীতল জলে অবগাহন করে নিজেকে সিক্ত করে -সেই তুমি যদি একটা বেগবতী নদী হও-তবে বুকে তোমার ঝাঁপ দিতেই পারি। চাঁদের স্বচ্ছ জ্যোত্‍স্নালোকে মন পুলকিত হয়, তার মধুর হাসি হৃদয় কেড়ে নেয়-তুমি যদি সেই চাঁদ হও-তবে তোমার জন্য আমি পাগল হতেই পারি। মানুষ সবসময় খুঁজে একটুখানি ভালোবাসা-তুমি যদি সেই ভালোবাসা হও-তবে তোমার ভালোবাসার রেণু আমি সর্বদা মাখতেই পারি। তুমি কাছে থাকলেই তোমাকে আরো নিবিড় করে কাছে পাওয়ার ইচ্ছা জাগে, তীব্র ব্যাকুলতায় কাতর হয় হৃদয়, তোমাকে ঘিরে তৈরি হয় ভালোবাসার খেলাঘর- সাধ জাগে এই খেলাঘরে তুমি হও আমার একমাত্র খেলার সাথি। তোমার মুখের হাসি দিয়ে, চোখের রহস্য ছড়িয়ে এমন-ভাবে তুমি আমাকে টানতে থাকো আমি আমি তোমার বুকে না ঝাঁপিয়ে থাকতে পারি না। তোমার মধ্যে এমন এক জাদু আছে সেই জাদুর মায়ায় আমি আটকে পড়ি, নিজের অজান্তেই হারিয়ে যাই কোনও এক কল্পলোকে। মনে হয় তুমি যেন এক অতল সাগর-যত এগোতে থাকি ততই ডুবে যেতে থাকি। তুমি কাছে থাকলে আমার সবকিছু এলোমেলো, আমি বেসামাল, আমার সব কাজে হিসেবের ভুল। তুমি কাছে থাকলে আমি অদ্ভুত-রকমের পাগল, অন্যজগতে আমার বিচরণ, আমার আমি কোনোমতেই আমাতে থাকি না। তুমি কাছে থাকলে তোমার চোখের পানে আমার তাকানোর লোভ, তোমার কমনীয় ঠোঁটে ঠোঁট রাখার দুরন্ত কামনা, তোমার শাড়ির আঁচলের একটুকু স্পর্শ পাবার আনাড়ি কাঙালপনা, তোমার নরম হাতে হাত রাখার বিহ্বল আকুতি। তুমি কাছে থাকলে মনে হয় মাটির বুকে স্বর্গটা বুঝি নেমে এসেছে, দূরের চাঁদটা বুঝি আমারই জন্যে জোছনা ঢালছে, হৃদয়জুড়ে শুধুই ভালোবাসার গান, এই তোমার জন্য আমার যতকিছু ভুল তাই ভুল নয়, শত-সহস্রবার আমি বেহিসেবী আর এলোমেলো হতে রাজি। 

   বৃষ্টি আমায় ভিজিয়ে দিলে। আমি অপেক্ষায়-তুমি কখন ভেজাবে আমায়। আকাশ আমায় রাঙিয়ে দিলে। আমি অপেক্ষায়-তুমি কখন রাঙাবে আমায়। স্বপ্ন আমায় ভাসিয়ে দিলে। আমি অপেক্ষায়-তুমি কখন ভাসাবে আমায়। বাতাস আমায় মাতিয়ে দিলে। আমি অপেক্ষায়-তুমি কখন মাতাবে আমায়। কবিতা আমায় ভালোবাসা দিলে। আমি অপেক্ষায়-তুমি কখন ভালোবাসবে আমায়।

   আমার চলার পথে ভালোবাসার ডালি সাজিয়ে আমার সামনে এসে দাঁড়ালে – আমি তোমাকে দেখলাম-আমার চোখ গেল আটকে, মন গেল থমকে-তোমাকে ঘিরে তৈরি হল আমার স্বপ্নের জাল বোনা-যে স্বপ্নের জাল আমি আজও বুনে চলেছি। তুমি এলে – আমার মন বলল এই তো সেই সুন্দর যার সন্ধান তুমি এতদিন করে এসেছো। তোমার মুখের হাসি দেখলাম, তোমার চোখের ভাষা পড়লাম, কেন জানি না মনে হল – ওই ভাষার মধ্যে অনেক কিছু লুকানো আছে-আমাকে তা জানতে হলে তোমাকে ভালোবাসতেই হবে - আমার হৃদয় পাগল হল, অন্তর কেঁপে উঠল, আমি সব ভুলে তোমার দিকে এগিয়ে গেলাম- তুমি সমর্পিতা হলে, আমাকে টেনে নিলে কাছে, তোমার বুকের সব গন্ধ ঢেলে আমাকে মোহিত করলে-আজ তুমি আমার কাছে সত্যিকারেরই ভালোবাসার অমূল্য ধন।

   People dream for light. If you are that light, then I can only dream about you.  People crave the fragrant scent of flowers, crave for a little scent  if you're that fragrant flower  I can crave for you.  People are fascinated by the shape of the river, soaking themselves in its cool-cool water - so if you are a fast-moving river - I can jump on your chest.  The moonlight makes people happy, its sweet smile captivates the heart - if you are that moon - I can be crazy for you.  People always find a little love - if you are that love - I can always smear the dust of your love.  When you are close, the desire to get closer to you awakens, the heart yearns for intense longing, the playground of love is built around you - you are my only playmate in this playground.  With the smile on your face, spreading the secret of your eyes, you keep pulling me in such a way that I can't help but jump on your chest.  There is such a magic in you, I am trapped in that magic, I am lost in a fantasy without knowing it.  It is as if you were drowning in an abyss.  If you are near me, everything is random, I am messy, all my work is wrong.  If you were near me, I would be strangely crazy, my wandering in the other world, I would not be in me at all.  The lust to look me in the eye when you are near me, the longing to put your lips on your charming lips, the clumsy wretchedness to touch the hem of your sari, the bewildered longing to hold your soft hand.  If you are near, it seems that the sky has descended on the earth, the distant moon is pouring jochana for me, only love song in my heart, this is not wrong for me whatever is wrong with you, hundreds of thousands of times I am willing to be careless and random.

   The rain soaked me.  I'm waiting for you to wet me.  The sky painted me.  I'm waiting for you to paint me.  If the dream floated me.  I'm waiting - when will you float me.  The wind blew me away.  I'm waiting - when will you get me drunk.  Poetry gives me love.  I'm waiting for you to love me.

    As I walked, he stood in front of me with a basket of love - I saw you - my eyes closed, my mind stopped - the web of my dreams was woven around you - the web of dreams I still weave today.  When you came - my mind said this is the beautiful you have been looking for so long.  I saw the smile on your face, I read the language in your eyes, I don't know why - there is a lot hidden in that language - I have to love you if I want to know it - my heart went crazy, my heart trembled, I forgot everything and walked towards you - you  If you surrender, if you pull me close, if you pour all the scent of your chest and fascinate me - today you are the priceless treasure of true love to me.
