প্রেমকাব্য

মঙ্গলপ্রসাদ মাইতি

   আমি বসে আছি প্রেম বুকে- তুমি এলে বৃষ্টির মতো করে ভিজিয়ে দেব, তোমার শরীরের সবটুকু তাপ আমার শরীরে গ্রহণ করে তোমাকে শীতলতায় স্নিগ্ধ করে দেব যাতে তুমি চাঁদের কিরণ হয়ে ঝরতে পার। আমার প্রেমের বারিতে তোমার উষ্ণ নি:শ্বাস দেখো-ঠিক ঠান্ডা হয়ে যাবে, ধুয়ে-মুছে সাফ হয়ে যাবে যা কিছু ক্লেদ-মলিনতা। আমার প্রেমের পথে লোভ নেই, কোনোরকম স্বার্থ নেই যা আছে তা কেবলই আনন্দের ঝরনাধারা, ফুলের সুরভি মেশা 

অনিন্দ্যসুন্দর রমনীয়তা! তোমার জন্যেই তিল তিল করে তা সঞ্চয় করা। তুমি এলে আমার এই গর্বের প্রেম আমি শুধু তোমাকেই ঢেলে দেব, তোমাকে ভিজিয়ে একসা করে দিয়ে আমি নিজে ধন্য হব। আমি শুধু এখন তোমার আসার

অপেক্ষায়। 

   মেঘকন্যার গর্ভ থেকে জন্ম নিলে তুমি; তোমার শুভ আগমনে দগ্ধ মাটি ভিজে শীতল হল, তৃণদল মেলল তাদের নব-অঙ্কুর, বৃক্ষরাজি নব পল্লবে পল্লবিত হল। খরায় পোড়া পুকুর–ডোবা তোমার আগমনে হল জল থই থই, নদীতে স্রোত এলো, সে স্রোতে ঢেউ জাগল, এলো জোয়ারের বান, নৌকার কাছি খুলল, মানুষজন মনের আনন্দে সে নৌকার 

সওয়ারি হল। তোমার আসায় জনজীবনে এলো স্বস্তি, আকুলি বিকুলি করা প্রাণ পেল নির্মল আরাম, এক আশ্চর্য ভালোলাগায় হৃদয় তোলপাড় হল। তুমি এলে – কখনো রিমঝিম, কখনো ঝিরঝির, কখনো টুপটাপ-হরেক রকম বেশে ; সব রূপেই তুমি ছিলে সুন্দর, সব সুরেই তুমি অন্তরে জাগালে অদ্ভুত এক  মাদকতা, স্বপ্নীল মায়ায় দু’চোখকে করলে আবিষ্ট, তোমার কলধ্বনি মনের কন্দরে ছড়িয়ে দিল এক মিষ্টি গানের  সুরলহরী। তোমার অলৌকিক ছোঁয়ায় সারা ভুবন স্নিগ্ধ হল, ধন্য হল-তোমার ভালোবাসা জগতকে করলো প্লাবিত। 

   বৃষ্টিভেজা সকালে তোমার অরূপ মূর্তিখানি আমার মনের পর্দায় ভেসে উঠল-ঠোঁটের সেই চিরাচরিত সলাজ হাসি, দুষ্টু দুষ্টু চোখের রহস্যঘন চাউনি-ইশারা আমাকে অনেক বর্ণে বর্ণময় করে তুলল। জানলা বেয়ে আসছিল বিন্দু-বিন্দু বৃষ্টির ছটা-অনুভব করলাম আমি বুঝি তোমার শীতল পরশ পাচ্ছি, তুমি আমাকে অনেক ভালোবাসায় ছুঁয়ে ছুঁয়ে যাচ্ছো। 

গাছের পাতাগুলি হাসছিল দুলে দুলে, বৃষ্টিসুধা মেখে তারাও বুঝি হয়েছিল পাগল। এ সবই হয়েছিল শুধু তোমার জন্য-তুমি সামনে এসে দাঁড়াওনি- না এসেও আমার জন্য পাঠিয়ে দিয়েছিলে অনেককিছু-যা আমার মনের ঘরে সুখের বৈভব-বিত্ত হয়ে চিরকাল ধরা রইল। 

   তোমার বুকের থেকে মিষ্টি একটা গন্ধ পেলাম – ঠিক যেন মাটি-মায়ের গন্ধ, যে গন্ধ আমাকে পাগল করে দেয়, আমাকে অস্থির-আকুল করে দেয়। তোমার এই বুকের গন্ধে আমি প্রাণ ফিরে পাই, আজীবন বেঁচে থাকার আশ্বাস খুঁজে পাই। অনেক স্বপ্নে মেশা, অনেক রঙে মেশা তোমার এই বুকের গন্ধ; এর এতটুকু ঘ্রাণ পেতে, এতটুকু স্বাদ পেতে বহুদূর পথ হেঁটে আসা যায়, সযত্নে বুকের ভিতর মধুর স্বপ্ন লালন করা যায়। তোমার বুকের মিষ্টি গন্ধটুকু পেতে তোমাকে আমি আমার মনের মাধুরী করে নিতে পারি, অন্তরে তোমার মূর্তি গড়ে আমার অকৃত্রিম ভালোবাসার নৈবেদ্য তোমাকে অঞ্জলি ভরে তুলে দিতে পারি। তোমার বুকের গন্ধ পেতে আমি ভালোবেসে মরতেও পারি। তোমাকে ছেড়ে আসার সময় একটা কথাই বারেবারে মনে হয় আমি কিছু একটা জিনিস ফেলে যাচ্ছি-হয়তো আমার দামি কোনো জিনিস যাকে আমি সঙ্গে নিলেই পারতাম,সঙ্গে থাকলে আমার কোনো ক্ষতি তো ছিলই না, বরং আমাকে অনেক সুখে সুখি করত, আমাকে তার আলোয় উদভাসিত করে রাখত। তাই তুমি জোর করে পাঠাতে চাইলেও আমার চলে আসার ইচ্ছে হয় না, মনে হয় তোমার সামনে সর্বক্ষণ বসে থাকি, তোমাকে নিয়ে কাটিয়ে দিই আমার আনন্দের প্রহর। তবু আমি আসি তোমাকে ছেড়ে, তোমার স্বার্থেই তোমাকে ছেড়ে আসি।

    I am sitting in the bosom of love - when you come I will soak like rain, I will take all the heat of your body in my body and soften you in the cold so that you can fall like the rays of the moon.  Look at your warm breath in the bar of my love - it will cool down, it will be washed away, it will be cleansed of some dirt.  There is no greed in the path of my love, there is no selfishness, all that is there is just a fountain of joy, mixed with the fragrance of flowers.

 Immaculate romance!  Sesame seeds for you to save it.  When you come, I will pour this love of my pride only on you, I will be blessed by soaking you together.  I'm just coming to you now

 Waiting.

 You are born from the womb of a cloud girl;  With your happy arrival, the burnt soil became wet and cool, the grassland matched their new shoots, the trees grew new.  Drought-burned ponds and ditches. When you arrive, there is water, there is a current in the river, there are waves in the stream, there is a tidal wave, the boat opens, people are happy with that boat.

 The ride is.  Your arrival brought relief to public life, the anxious soul found pure comfort, the heart throbbed with a wonderful love.  When you come - sometimes rimjhim, sometimes jhirjhir, sometimes tuptap-assorted costumes;  You were beautiful in all forms, a strange intoxication when you awakened in your heart in all tunes, obsessed with two eyes in dreamy maya, the melody of a sweet song spread in your heart.  The whole world was softened by your miraculous touch, blessed - your love flooded the world.

    On a rainy morning, your ugly idol floated on the screen of my mind - that traditional salad smile on my lips,

 The mysterious look and gesture of the naughty naughty eyes made me colorful in many colors.  I felt a drizzle of rain coming through the window. I understand that I am getting your cool kiss, you are touching me with a lot of love.

 The leaves of the trees were smiling and swaying, they too were mad at the rain.  All this happened only for you - you did not stand in front - even if you did not come, you sent a lot for me - which remained in my mind's eye forever.

    I got a sweet smell from your chest - just like the smell of mother earth, the smell that drives me crazy, makes me restless.  The smell of your chest brings me back to life, the assurance of life.  The smell of your chest mixed with many dreams, mixed with many colors;  To get so much smell of it, to get so much taste of it, one can walk a long way, carefully nurture sweet dreams inside the chest.  I can make you the sweetness of my mind to get the sweet smell of your chest, I can make your idol in my heart and offer you the offering of my unconditional love.  I can die in love to smell your chest.

    When I leave you, one thing seems to happen again and again, I am leaving something behind-maybe something I could have taken with me, if I had it with me, I would not have been harmed, but it would have made me very happy, it would have exposed me to its light.  So even if you want to send me by force, I don't want to leave, I think I am sitting in front of you all the time, I spend my happy hours with you.  Yet I come to leave you, I leave you for your own sake.
