Words My Heart Says

Autumn Smoke

With the mist of autumn, I crafted a form of dreams,
In the fleeing time, everything crumbled apart.
It was perhaps just a game—
In the white smoke, I wanted to embrace a world.
From the foothills, touching the fair of moonlight,
I sailed far away, with the wind as my sail.

I wrote a letter to the solitary sky,
The earth returned it in the envelope of mistakes.
Draped in autumn smoke, I clung to the roots of the soil,
I wanted to become a flower, but I don't know if I succeeded.

In the chest of a hungry night, I laid my hand,
Escaped from the shadow of joy, to another roof.
I pierced through the walls of words,
Lost my way in the traps of the path,
Trying to understand—where does it end?

I had stepped on the wrong path,
Was intoxicated with the pride of life,
But then what?
In the midst of strange forms, I searched for an identity,
Gave the rest of my life,
Just for a shoulder.

Untouched Heaven

Has anyone ever seen heaven's light?
Is it a realm within our sight?
A place we dream when joy takes flight,
In moments of pure, unbounded delight.

When emotions soar to the skies above,
We whisper we've found heaven in love.
It's but a slice of satisfaction's glow,
A fleeting taste of what we long to know.

Heaven, untouched, remains unseen,
A place beyond where we've ever been.
It's in our feelings, deep and true,
In the things we cherish but can't pursue.

For the truest heaven lies within,
In the touchless joys, where dreams begin.
It's not a place, but a state of mind,
An untouched heaven, uniquely defined.
